Who is Marianne Williams

Marianne was one of the first 10 gastroenterology dietitians in the UK to be trained by King’s College London in the Low FODMAP Diet in 2010. Since then she has advised thousands of patients and pioneered the creation of the first UK NHS 'Dietetic-Led Primary Care Gastroenterology Clinic'.

Her exceptional achievements in the field of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) have earned her multiple prestigious accolades, such as being named the NHS England Allied Health Professional of the Year, winning the NHS Digital Practice Award, receiving the National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE) Shared Learning Award, and an NHS Recognition Award.

Her dietetic gastroenterology research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and she has worked as an accomplished Advanced Clinical Practitioner for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

She was also honoured with the Outstanding Contribution of the Year from the Digital Health Awards for her pioneering work in patient digital education. She has a MSc with distinction from Southampton Medical School, and is a member of both the British Dietetic Association and the regulatory body, Health & Care Professions Council.
